EA says they got the 6 hottest New Year titles - you think?

I recently went to an event in New York where EA Games was displaying what they feel are the ’seven hottest games of the New year.’ I can’t say I completely agree with that statement, but there are at least four titles on the list that I would say have a good chance of making [...]

Fable II X-Box 360 Walkthrough

Fable II X-Box 360 Walkthrough

This walkthough covers the main storyline of the game. It covers only those missions necessary to complete the story which is only a small part of the game. There is no need to run though the storyline, you can spend as much time as you like playing other aspects of the game (exploring, building renown, buying houses, having a family) and return to the storyline whenever you want.

Childhood

First select a male or female character. This decision may change some of your dialogue options, but doesn’t affect the overall story.

After speaking to Rose, follow her. You’ll notice a glowing yellow trail. Throughout the game this trail will (usually) show you where to go to complete your active quest. Follow this trail and you’ll come to a trader who will show you a magic music box for sale for 5 gold. You’ll also get a hint that it just may actually be magic. Your new goal is to gather 5 gold to buy the box. Continue Reading

Microsoft announced Thursday that it plans to lower the retail prices for several flavors of Windows Vista.

Seagate and Maxtor Upgrade Capacities

Posted on 26 January 2008

I just got word from Seagate that they have upgraded hard drive capacities on certain models of their storage solutions, including one product we recently reviewed; the Maxtor One Touch 4 Mini, read the review. In that review one of the down sides to the unit was the low capacity (we reviewed the 80 gig unit). Here is what Seagate had to say:

Due to an explosion of digital content, IDC says demand for storage capacity continues to grow at a rate of nearly 60% per year. In response to this growing need, Seagate and Maxtor continue to deliver solutions that help customers effectively store, manage and share their most precious files (music, photos, video, documents, etc.). The company most recently introduced the following high-capacity products:

- Seagate FreeAgent Pro with Mac compatibility - 1TB capacity
- Maxtor OneTouch 4 Plus - 1TB capacity
- Maxtor OneTouch 4 Mini - 250GB capacity

We’ll have updated reviews on some of these products shortly.

Are we going gadget over-kill?

Posted on 11 January 2008

In this day and age we’re seeing more often than not gadgetry that tries to do everything. Refrigerators that make shopping lists, cell phones with screens you can barely see with the ability to browse the web, toilet paper dispensers that connect to your iPod. How much do we need? And how many gadgets do you really use on a daily basis? Continue Reading

BELKIN USB 2.0 Plus Hub (7 Port) Review

Posted on 28 December 2007

As you know you can never have too many USB ports, either your USB ports are really hard to get to, or they are already full, in my case they are full. So I decided to purchase the Belkin USB 2.0 Plus Hub (7 Port), this is a stackable powered hub that has two ports on top for easy access and five ports along the back side, and features a built in cable management system for the things that you frequently need to charge, such as an MP3 player or a cell phone. Belkin also has built weights into the hub so that it does not slide around on your workstation, which is a nice added feature.

Design:
The Belkin USB 2.0 Plus Hub (7 Port) has a very nice design. It measures 6″ x 3.5″ x 3/4″ and measures 1″ at the tallest point where the two ports are on top. Six inches in length is a bit long, but that is because you have five USB ports that line up horizontally, along with the power inlet and the data cable that attaches to your computer. As I stated earlier this hub has weights built into it, so as it will stay where you put it. Under the unit, it has four rubber feet for added stay-put protection. Continue Reading
